Hi, I'm new
Hi guys 
This is my first post, and I'm not even sure if I'm posting in the right place.. But I'm from VA so this made sense!
I've never been on these boards before (theknot either) so I'm kind of getting lost and confused, but I guess I'll figure it out soon enough. But any help or advice (and a run-down of the lingo!) would help
My name is Katie and I live on the Eastern Shore of VA. (You know, that peninsula that no one ever knows exists?). I got married this past June. I have a dog, a boston terrier named Marley, but no kids.. And we aren't planning on TTC for a few more years.
I honestly have no married friends. So I'm just looking for a group to connect with and discuss my "married" life with. I love cooking!

I live in Hampton Roads.The Nest is a great place for resources. This board is a little dead, but the national boards are always busy. Here's something to help you w/ the lingo: http://boards.thenest.com/boards/faq.aspx#6 but that's by no means all of it. If you don't understand an acronym in a post, just ask & someone will explain.
Hey Katie. I'm familiar with Eastern Shore, VA from living across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel in Hampton Roads most of my life. I'm Meredith, a recently remarried mother of one with a recently very lazy lab.
I do not know any newlyweds in my new small town, as I relocated when we were married. I've been trying to keep busy lately with trying to get the best deals with coupons and planning new fun dinners for our family. One of our favorites lately was greek style chicken tacos...my five year old said they were so good she couldn't believe it! Haha. Are you a working woman or do you stay at home?
We were married in April on the beach on the day of the horrible tornadoes...crazy windy but beautiful. How was you wedding? How's new married life treating you?
