Playing nurse today

I took H to the doc this morning to have a suspicious looking mole "taken out". It's as gross as it sounds. Anyway, as soon as she was done and said "good job," he went pale, eyes rolled back and he passed out! It happened so fast and was pretty scary. They said it was common and just nerves, but they kept him in there for about an hour to make sure he was okay. He seems to be better now, but he took the rest of the day off. So I get to play nurse today. I wasn't doing much else anyway... :)

Re: Playing nurse today

  • Must have been a flat mole? Those are the ones that tend to be surgical, the bumpie ones I think they burn off with nitro. I've had the surgical kind done on my leg, and was watching it until I could smell my burning blood/flesh from the cauterizer, then I had to look away.

That could be fun ... maybe H will "get sick" more often.

1st year anniversary in Victoria with a killer whale topiary!
  • Hopefully he's feeling better!  I had one removed in July; no passing out, though.  I actually looked at it between the scalpel and stitching stages, and it was truly disgusting, but i'm not squeamish about stuff like that.

  • Poor guy.  I can relate - I'm such a wuss when it comes to needles/scalpels.  Hope he recovers quickly!

  • KST - Yeah, that doesn't sound too nice. It was a flat mole, on the back of his shoulder, so thankfully he can't even really see it. :)

Niq - It was lots of fun! ;)

CDMay - Yeah, I'm apparently not too squeamish either. I watch pretty much the whole thing and I didn't even really think about it.

Tygirljojo - Thanks! We're both pretty iffy with needles, but he's feeling a lot better. He's still playing hooky today, but he's doing a little bit of work from home.
