Vent: Child support services
it seriously takes over 3 months to verify his address???
now I have to call them back weekly to check the status. They suck a$$. I am disgusted by the system. He is only 8 months behind now, with no intention of paying, which is fine, just sign over legal rights.

I hate them because every year, DH gets a notice saying he is behind. Then we call them to tell them how when it is taken from his paycheck and sent and then they say....oh our bad, it is a system glitch.
This sounds a lot like what my mom went through
By the time I was 18, my dad was 5 years behind and nothing was done to get it out of him.
Sorry, the system kind of sucks with this stuff... Hang in there and I hope to god he signs over his rights to your husband.
This. Then they want to add on interest, and they you have to write them a letter, they send you paper work, you have you take it to his ex, who you don't want to talk to anyway, and have her sign it saying he's paid it. And they are the crabbiest ladies in the world working in that office...when I was on jury duty I went in there to give them paperwork and they were just immediately defensive and crabs.
We know all about this too. It is auto deducted from DH's paycheck, but he's always getting bills with slips to send in payment..and things that say he's past due. Confusing and annoying..their system is ridiculous...
Yup, this is what we went through too. I hit 18 and my dad still owes over 11,000. My mom will never see it. And he wouldn't sign rights over either. Hopefully this d-bag will do the right thing. Sorry you're going through it!
I was on the phone with them yesterday. Our court order states that he is supposed to carry insurance on the girls, unless my job offers a comparable plan at a lower premium and he reimburses me - so that is what we do. I've already sent in information verifying the coverage earlier in the year, but they were sending a notice to his employer to have his plan cover YDD.
The case worker told me to modify the CO, but it was already in the CO...
It wasn't a really big deal, but it bothers me that they weren't very thorough...
