I'm a member of a Ragnar Relay Team that's running from Miami to Key West in January. The team name is "It's 5 o'clock Somewhere." We need to decorate our vans so I've been looking for fun string lights in margaritas, martinis, beer mugs, etc. Anything like that will do except it obviously has to be battery operated. The only thing I can find is plug in lights.

Have you considered using an inverter? I have one that was less than $10, plugs into the cigarette lighter. It handles a load fairly well.

I was just thinking about that. The first one that came up when I googled was $40, but $10 a piece would be doable for 2 vans. Do you know where you got it?

I bought mine on a daily deal website. Search beztek 75w on amazon.
