Re: Holiday Plans
We are having a Halloween party on the 29th, then going trick or treating with my niece and nephew on the 31st.
I am working on Thanksgiving night, but will be spending some time in the afternoon with family. My parents will be out of town, though...
I am so lucky to have Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off! We spend X-mas eve with DH's family, then mine on X-mas day.
We are doing the fly to Ohio, drive (or maybe fly this year) to NY, fly home trip again this year. So we'll be in Ohio for Christmas, and NY for new years.
No real plans for Thanksgiving... that's always pretty much just been me and DH since we got together.
Halloween - Walking around the town festival on the 29th, and passing out candy on the 31st. Lulu is dressing up as a lady bug, so we've gotta show her off!
Turkey Day - Tailgating in the morning at the town parade, with my parents and siblings. And we'll have to split the rest of the day between his and my parent's houses. I hate sharing holidays...
Christmas - We usually spend X-Mas Eve at my ILs and X-Mas Day at my parents; but now that we've got our own little family, we may change things up this year and stay in to open presents with Lulu.
I am sooooooo excited for all the holiday baking and cooking!!! Anyone else?
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
Halloween- Got a few parties to go to that weekend, will probably take the kiddos to Freestone park, and on the 31st hand out candy and proabably take N to a few houses in the neighborhood. He's gonna be a pirate
Thanksgiving- Not sure yet...I'm more excited about Black Friday! haha But I need to find a sitter since DH has to work that day.
Christmas- Not sure yet. I know we're not planning on doing any traveling this year. Would be too hectic with an infant and a toddler. We'll probably make cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve for sure. I'm so excited for Christmas this year now that N is starting to understanding things. We have also made it a tradition to go to Benihana's on Christmas day for dinner since we don't have a lot of local family. No sense in cooking a huge meal for just us! Plus I love that it's our own little tradition.
Halloween we will probably just hang out at home and hand out candy, Zach is too young to go out but we are totally going to get him one of this pj costume things
Turkey Day we will be spending the day in Gilbert with my sister and my side of the family since my sister will be in Cali for Christmas.
Christmas we will be with my in laws along with my parents so they aren't alone on Christmas and plus with it being Zach's first Christmas they don't want to miss it!
I have to say I normally get very excited about the holiday season but this year I am even more excited!!! To celebrate all these first with our son is going to make the holiday season that much more special from here on out!
Not 100% sure about Halloween. I have no costume for Preston yet (I'm not too motivated) and he goes to bed so early that I'm worried about people coming to our house. Our dog will bark every time we have a visitor and if we go to a friends house, like we plan, he'll be terribly grumpy because it'll be past his bed time. So, I have no idea yet.
Thanksgiving, we are going to Nor Cal to my In-laws because DH's grandma isn't doing that great and we want her to see Preston.
Christmas, we are flying to NY and I am BEYOND excited about this! My family will get to finally see Preston (only my Mom has seen him) and my Mom will get to spend his first christmas with him. I can't wait and wish it was next week!!!
We LOOOOOOVE Black Friday! Cannot wait!!!!
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
Halloween -
I think we might be going to the Hotel San Carlos Ghost tour on the 29th. That should be fun. Never been but going off of Vanessas rec.
We're taking Will around our neighborhood for about an hour as he is is SOOO excited about trick or treating. He is going to be the Dark Knight Batman. I gave him a choice of the old school batman or the dark knight (with muscles to boot) and he chose that one. I have no idea where his obsession with batman came from. He has ever even seen a batman movie or show haha... School maybe?
Thanksgiving-
No idea. We don't have any family here so probably not a whole lot of anything.
Christmas is going to be a zoo. All 4 boys will be here along with my MIL and my husbands Aunt. It's going to be crazy, but so much fun. We usually go to Shannons parents house for dinner but I feel bad bringing all those people so I have to figure out what we're going to do haha. They've told me to bring them all there but I don't know yet... On Christmas eve, we always watch the Polar Express, read How The Grinch Stole Christmas and bake chocolate chip cookies so we'll for sure be doing that...
Halloween, this weekend I am doing the Hotel San Carlos Ghost Tour with Sommer (DH) and my DH and sister. Should be fun, I enjoyed it last time. Halloween weekend, we will be in Prescott and Halloween night, probably go to my IL?s and help pass out candy, I do it every year with them.
Thanksgiving, dinner at my grandparents and BAKING. Can?t? wait for that.
Christmas, I am not sure yet. I know baking again will be involved

Oh wow, I didn't even think of that...I don't mind keeping Nolan up a little later than usual, but Claire...that's a different story! And between the doorbell and the dog, it will be very interesting....
why don't you guys just sit outside on the porch with the baby monitor. doorbell ringing and dog barking problem solved! although we use a sound machine so that's not much of an issue here
Halloween will probably be spent at the in-laws watching nephews go trick or treating. Our neighborhood is so dead on Halloween night.
On Thanksgiving I should be snuggling with my little guy! My parents will leave the night before Thanksgiving, so we will have dinner with them and my grandparents who live here on Wednesday, and then on Thursday I am looking forward to cooking our first Thanksgiving dinner alone as a family and watching football and putting up the Christmas tree. That does mean I will have to try and get out of spending the holiday with my in-laws though, but hopefully they will understand since baby will only be a week or two old!
Christmas eve will be spent at the in-laws this year and then Christmas will likely just be time with the three of us. I need to start deciding on some traditions for our family! I love the Santa Key and the idea of baking cookies! Will probably do a reading of The Night Before Christmas as well!
Never thought of that! Your genius
i have been told that once or twice
Halloween-My DH and I will be in Costa Rica on our honeymoon. Can't wait!!!!
Thanksgiving-probably have a get together with friends, no family out here. I hope to run in a race on Thanksgiving Day.
Christmas-possible get together with friends, but would like to take a day trip somewhere....maybe up North? Any suggestions?
Halloween I'll be home handing out candy to all the lil kiddos & hopefully meeting a few more of our neighbors. Everyone really keeps to themselves.
Thanksgiving I'll be working all day.
And Christmas we'll be at home in PA going back & forth b/w our families, freezing our asses off!
Halloween: I'm still trying to decide what Raedyn is going to be but I know my husband and his friend(who has a daughter the same age) want to take the girls out so they can get candy.
Thanksgiving: We'll be going up to my husband's aunt's house in Cottonwood with my IL's.
Christmas: My husband has vacation time to use up before next year so we're flying to NH so see my family.

Yes, it will be at our casa. IMO, it just seems easier to have everyone come to us since we'll have a new baby. Plus Safeway and Costco will be helping with dinner. BAHAHA
Let me know if I can be of service in the dessert department!
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
