I'm still here at work. This sucks.
Our CEO and COO snapped their fingers this morning & created a huge fire drill that is making myself and one other person stay late to get something out by 9 am. What I want to know is why is it only 2 of us? Where the heck is everyone else?? uuuuugh. Makes me so mad because this happens all the time.

is it that the two of you are the ones who handle whatever it is, or could anyone else have stayed too?
think of it this way - your work is noticed - their absence is too. and not just by you!
There was another team member who should have stayed with us and decided to jump ship..
Sadly I don't think my work was noticed since the entire department was empty from about 6:00 on and it was just the two of us working....my boss was gone at 5 so he probably thinks I left too and has no clue we were there that late. Oh well. Once we get the client's approval I'm sure as heck going to be sure to tell him how much effort it took to get this revenue!! LOL

next time, email your boss to let him/'her know what you completed - that way it's time stamped and can be known.
i come from an office that is big on that, especially because my direct supervisees don't need direct supervising so I don't always know what they are doing exactly or the time it takes. i ask them to keep me apprised in this way so i am aware- and have a written record for review/raise time. works for them!
