Happy Thursday. What is on the agenda today?
QOTD: Do you take (or plan on taking) your kids to church/synagogue/mosque (any regularly held religious service)? Do you only go because you want your kids to go?
Re: Good Morning!
I have to go to the prefecture today to hopefully pick up my carte de s?jour. I already did all of the paperwork and it should be as straightforward as paying and picking it up. Then maybe a drink this afternoon with a friend and dinner tonight with H.
QOTD: I plan on raising my kids in the catholic church. I want them raised with some sort of religious background and community that I never had as a child. If they decide as teens that they think it is a load of crap and they would rather sleep in, it won't bother me. I just know that as someone who wasn't raised in a church and wants to join, you don't always fit in because you don't have the cultural upbringing (especially in the catholic church, I feel)
Morning! I'm wiped out. I was at a work event until late last night and am exhausted. I also have a busy day today. Tonight my old boss is having his leaving drinks so I'll pop in to say hello, but then I'm coming right home.
QOTD: I want my kids to go to church. I think it's important for them to know there's more to life than just us, plus it's a good community. But, there are some teachings I agree with and some I don't, so I need to think about how to address those with my child. It's something I think about a lot, but I don't have any answers yet.
Good morning ladies. I ended up with a nasty headache last night that didn't go away with a good nights sleep, so I'm struggling this morning. If I didn't have a ton of work to do and some meetings this morning, I probably would have stayed home. I'll see how I feel at midday, and then maybe bail if I haven't improved.
QOTD: I will leave that up to DH. I never went to church with my family (not even for Christmas or Easter), so it has never been a priority for me. DH's family, on the other hand, is quite religious and he grew up going to church even though he doesn't go now. We haven't talked about whether we will take our future children, but I am open to the possibility.

Happy Thursday! Just a regular day for me - work, doing some weight lifting with DH at lunchtime, and then fajitas for dinner!
We finally finished Grey's Anatomy Season 7 last night which has been contributing to our unproductiveness all week. Hopefully we will get something done around the house tonight because we are falling behind on our to do list.
QOTD: DH and I are not sure how to raise our kids - with or without the church. We are both Catholic but I cannot even tell you the last time we went to church. DH says if we want to raise them Catholic, we have to be good Catholics and go to church every Sunday - lead by example. I'm not quite sure I am ready for such a commitment, but I would like my children exposed to God and religion in some way. Maybe CCD (religion) classes? The public schools are great in our area, so they probably would not go to Catholic school like I did.
IN's October Siggy Challenge: Halloween Costumes
Good morning. I worked out this morning, and have been doing work since then. I don't have much going on today. Blah.
QOTD: We're not sure. In theory I would like them to go for the community aspect of it. In practice, I have never gone regularly and H hasn't gone regularly since he was a teenager (and even then he got baptized and attended church with friends, not his family). Most likely, our kids will not go to church, but I really do like the idea of them going.

Morning! Busy day at work, and skipping out a little early to head to Dubai! Whoop whoop for a GTG weekend :-)
QOTD: If we have children, I will raise them in the church - but DH and I will have to discuss what religion. DH was raised Catholic (is non-practicing now), and I was raised Lutheran, and then switched to Presbyterian when in HS. I want them to have some kind of a spiritual background, and when they're old enough, they're free to discover their own religion. I had the freedom to choose my own religion after being confirmed, and I want them to have the same choices!

My Doha Adventures
Today...nothing special. I have to vaccum, clean the floors and do the dishes...woo-hoo!
QOTD: Yes, we will be taking our kids to church. DH and I had gone every other week for awhile, but haven't been over here...not sure if there is even a Lutheran church here in Spain.
Morning. I've got a lot of organizing and cleaning to do today. I feel really lazy so it's not looking good!
QOTD: Yes, our kids will go to church. Right now since we've been living away from our home, we haven't been going. We just go for holidays when we're there. When we move back, we'll be going for sure.
Morning. Didn't sleep well last night because DH gave me his sore throat. At least my class was cancelled this evening so I can go home a little early.
QOTD: DH and I are both Catholic. In fact, we met at the campus Catholic center when we were in grad school. Surprisingly, DH's attendance dropped significantly after he found himself a girlfriend. I guess that's one of the main reasons a young Italian man goes to church groups
. I still try and go regularly and I sang in the church choir when we were in Canada. So that will definitely be a priority when we have kids. Maybe it will even encourage a bit more participation from DH (though it has been better since we found an Italian Mass here in Cape Town).
Good morning! I'm happy to finally get back into a Spinning routine
QOTD: Although I'm not super religious I think Judaism is more of a culture than a religion and feel that it's important to instill in my future childrens' lives. I will likely send them to a Jewish preschool, as I was sent, and go to synagogue on the High Holidays and some Shabbats.
Finally recovering after being sick in bed for two days. I hope I feel weel enough for my weekend in London catching up with friends.
QOTD: Yes, we go every weekend and have done since LO was about a 3 weeks old. Even in Korea we all went to church. It is very important to us to go regularly. Our church here in England is very family oriented so there is much for the kids to engage with.
I have a full day of work and then am taking my DD to TumbleTime (basically toddler play time at a gymnastics facility).
QOTD: We sporadically go to our catholic church. I actually went more before DD was born but am not sure why that is
.
