Can you negotiate with Time Warner?
I was just looking at my bill and it's $136 for tv and internet. No premium channels but I do have the hd channels/dvr. If I call them and complain or say I'm planning on switching to ATT will they negotiate with me? This is crazy.

Re: Can you negotiate with Time Warner?
I got ant-cy and called. They have a thing where you can lock in a price for 24 months and then you won't have to worry about price increases. I locked in $100 ($110 with taxes) for hdtv and road runner. That will save us about $20/month.
I'm happy with it!

We did this when we started up with them. We actually were on the phone with them A LOT, but they were great with finding ways to get what we wanted for the absolute CHEAPEST price (when you took out other optional fees that upped the cost, added discounts, etc.)
I called last week and told them I was thinking of switching to the Dish. I wasn't happy with the 24 month thing as it only lowered the bill $3, so they offered a $10 reduction for the next 12 months without having to extend the contract. But if the rates go up, it's still just $10 off that rate, won't lock a rate in.
I'm getting really close to changing, think we're paying way too much just for tv.
