In addition to Onlys post....
Add your fav soup/crock pot recipe here!!!
Re: In addition to Onlys post....
Well, I put this recipe in my crockpot before I left for work this morning. I haven't tried it myself, but I have several friends who RAVE about it
Buffalo Chicken Lasagna
I know this might seem too simple, but there has to be other crockpot novices out there like me, so I figured I'd share!
Whole Roasted Chicken
1 whole chicken
Spices/seasoning of your liking (I used one of those McCormick's pre-packaged things, I think it was rosemary/garlic)
1/2 can chicken broth
1 tin foil "coil"
Place the "coil" in the base of the crockpot to keep the chicken off the bottom. Add chicken broth to 1/2" deep. Place seasoned chicken in crockpot and cook on low for 7-8 hours.
**My chicken was on "warm" for 3 hours past the 7 hours of cooking time until I got home from work. The chicken so was incredible tender it literally fell off the bones as I was trying to get it out of the crockpot. Delicous!
My favorite! Its way more delicious than the photo.

I "like" this post A LOT!!
I am making to Loaded Baked Potato soup on Sunday!!
My "world famous" (okay not really, Nest famous on my local board at least) Baked Potato Soup
5 - 7 Large Baking Potatoes
1 stick butter
2/3 cup flour
1 ? quarts whole milk
4-5 green onions ? chopped
1 cup sour cream
1 ? cups bacon ? cooked crispy
And crumbled
Salt and Pepper to taste
5 ? 8 ounces cheddar cheese
Directions: Cook potatoes in oven at 350 degrees until tender. Cut potatoes in half, and scoop out all of the ?meat?. Set aside. Dice half of the potato peels and set with reserved potatoes. Discard remaining peels. In a large saucepan or stockpot, melt butter. Whisk in flour. Cook the butter/flour mixture for a few minutes (while stirring) to help remove the ?raw? flour taste. Add milk in slowly. Whisk constantly until mixture begins to simmer. Turn heat to low, and add the potatoes, peels, and onions. Next, add the sour cream and salt. Continue to stir until sour cream is melted. Next, add bacon and cheese and stir until cheese is melted. This soup is fairly thick, but you can thin it down by adding more milk prior to adding the potatoes and remaining ingredients. This is great served in a bread bowl or alone.
All my family love this soup. It is easy and you can tailor it to fit your likes.

Chicken N' Dumplins
1 package of 4 boneless/skinless chicken breasts
2 cans of cream of chicken soup
1 package of canned biscuits
Cut chicken in to quarter pieces
Pour 1st can of cream of chicken to coat bottom of crock pot
add chicken then add the 2nd can of soup to coat. Stir and cook on high for 2 hours
Cut biscuits in to quarter pieces and add to crock pot, cook for another 2 hours on high.
My recipe is even easier than PrettyInPearl's recipe:
Toss 4-6 frozen (yes, frozen) chicken breasts into a crock pot. Pour a bottle of barbecue sauce over. Turn on to high for 4-6 hours. Pull the meat off the bones and shred. Return to the sauce and simmer on low for another couple of hours until dinnertime. Serve with rolls for pulled chicken sandwiches or over pasta or rice (my kids' favorite).
Oh I made sure I took that when I left!

The conclusion to this post is that I am now craving chicken and dumplings like I have never experienced before. Perhaps this weekend?!?
Me too!!!
