So, I pulled the carpet out this week, and we have some nice warm oak wood floors underneath.
We decided to paint. While in the paint store, I got tired of debating colors with Jim and said, "okay, fine. You pick." oops: painters remorse.
We now have one wall of a beautiful (but very dark for this small room) blue. We were going to repaint the other 3 walls a light beige (but again, I let him pick, and it's darker than light). So... now I'm thinking light grey walls with the dark blue and white trim. And oak floors. Works or doesn't?
Here's the color, which looks darker on the wall than it does on the computer screen: http://www.lowes.com/pd_94101-4-40076BBELLEGROVEVICT_?PL=1&productId=3331008
Re: Paint help needed
I would consider that, but...
Guys, I really like and love my husband. Honest.
Oh yes! Too funny.
Real Estate agents can be very useful in making decisions about decorating/staging during the selling period. I wouldn't hesitate to get his/her take on the paint situation. If you feel strongly about it, that is.
As of last night, it's ON the wall. That's the issue.
oh yeah....so leave it just as one accent wall and be sure to leave the can of gray paint behind. I actually seen on some of the show, putting color on one wall, so maybe it wouldn't be all that bad. I think gray would look nice with it.
What do you have for bedding and are you wililng to spend some money? One trick I have seen on "Sell this house" type shows is to use white bedding. Just buy white sheets and a plain white comforter. According to these shows and the budget they show, they usually get away with it without spending more than $50. Maybe light bedding would help lighten the room.
We have a lot of accent walls, and that was the plan. But the beige is too dark, so - with a nod from gvsu and hoek, I'm moving forward with light grey walls.
We have a tan comforter, but I think Willa's (white) is a queen size, so a switch is in the works.
Hilarious!....I googled "images of Sell this house white bedding" and a few pictures came up and the first website that showed up was City Chicken.
How fitting...
Love it!
