well this isn't helping me decide at all! lol. Also, I dont know how to sew, but my grandmother is ok at it,. she is trying ot badger me into making our stockings. Any advice? Should I try it?

stockings are really easy...at least A would be.  I don't think you'd be able to do C mostly because you can't usually find fabric like that knit but also because (IMO) knits are a PITA without a serger.  I can't tell what the fabric would be like for B.  A homemade version PROBABLY won't be as long lasting as a commercial product.  Also, do you want the personalization?  You'd need a machine with that capability (my machine doesn't do embroidery)
