kiddie-friendly snack ideas

i'm planning some snacks to have out at Sam's party - don't need to go crazy since the party starts at noon and lunch will be out then because the magician starts at 1pm. ideally, these items will compliment lunch which will probably be sandwiches and salads.

i pinned a cute idea - little clear drinking cups, pour some dip/ranch dressing in the bottom, fill with carrot sticks, celery sticks, pepper slices - all standing up.

i bought little paper baking cups - i'm not sure what they're called - it's more sturdy than baking liners.

i thought to fill some with goldfish crackers. then i thought pretzels - but it seems close to the fish.

i'd like 2-3 ideas since i have 50 cups.

what little things would be nice for kids to handle on their own?

Re: kiddie-friendly snack ideas

  • cheerios

    goldfish pretzels

kix cereal, any other dried cereal (chex, fruit loops,  cookie crisp etc...)

    animal crackers

    great ideas! thanks

  • At A's party, I had cups with goldfish crackers.  We also made an Elmo face out of cut up fruit, but you could easily put fruit into cups as well.  You could make a snack mix (trail mix type of thing), teddy grahams, or fruit snacks.

  • At Jack's party for the kids I had mixed bowls of Gerber treats: Puffs, Wagon Wheels, the Cheese Crunchies and Melts.  They went fast.  You can do something like that in little cups.
