Girls, this is huge!
Ok, my H is an electrician for a small town company that does irrigation in the summer, and has to work every Saturday through the summer. He gets every other Saturday off from October-May, and it will go to every Saturday off when they hire another guy. Today is his first Saturday off since May, and you can tell we have all been needing it. DD has been going through this "Mommy only" phase and is just needing more one on one time with her daddy.
Anyway, on his off Saturdays, he dresses DD in her overalls and takes her to breakfast at the diner up town, go visit people, go for drives...anything they want to do until about noon. And I get to sleep in with the dog. Oh my goodness. I did get up after they left, but I sat right down at my sewing machine and I'm getting some embellished burp cloths done for a shower today. I may even finish the quilt for this baby (I'm giving it to her when she's born, I already have other shower gifts to give) today!

Saturday is my usual day to sleep in. DH doesn't take DS places solo much but he's getting better. Mainly because I get DS all excited and then he can't say no. For example he had to take a few things to the dump/recycling center and thought it was the best adventure ever.
But a morning to myself in the house. That would be heaven.
That's so sweet of him! Glad he's not afraid to spend one-on-one time (one of my friend's H's is like this and it drives me nuts. He has never been alone at home with their 1yr old).
Mah, at first I read this as you are waiting for your baby daddy to show up. lol. Hurry up Baby Mah!
