If one more person.....

says their pregnant, I'm going to scream!!. It's bad enough that my baby fever won't go away but I have counted 3 co-workers, my best friend and 5 people on FB that are pregnant right now. 90% of those people just found out and are all around 6 weeks.

  • I completely understand how you feel (hugs).  Seriously though, who posts on FB that they're 6 weeks pregnant?  That's weird to me...

  • I have no idea. I waited until close to 12 weeks to be in the "safe zone". At least wait until your first ob appt at 8 weeks.

  • I am so sorry! I know the feeling! I think we have 7 people out on maternity leave right now, one just returned and 4 more will be leaving for maternity leave soon.

  • OMG, I know exactly how you feel. It's like, dammit, can I please catch up? My cousin that's 4 years younger than me just had her THIRD.

  • There's definitely something in the water! I just found out 2 of my co-workers are pregnant.  My department is 99% female so I feel like I'm attending a baby shower every day when I listen to their conversations about pregnancy and motherhood.  Ugh!

You can still miscarry after 12 weeks. There is no "magic time"  that will mean you won't miscarry.  I lost a baby at 19 weeks.

  • You are definitely not alone in this! I'm in the same boat. I currently have 3 co-workers that are all pregnant right now (out of a 5 person department no less). Not to mention all the FB people that are also having babies.

  • I know how you feel....it just is bothering you more b/c of where you are in your life.  It's how I feel...I feel like everyone around me is either getting engaged, getting married or having kids and I'm just sitting and watching :(  Hanging in there and try to not let it bother you.

You can lose a baby at any point including 40 weeks delivering still born but the majority of pregnancies miscarry before 12 weeks. Until you go to your first ob appt and hear a heartbeat then I really think people shouldn't be annoucing pregnancies. I ended up in preterm labor at 23 weeks so I know the risks.

Its super irritating right now but once all the fuss is overwith I'll be fine.

  • I feel like I'm one of the lucky ones...I don't have baby fever. I don't ever want children, and no I won't change my mind once I meet "the right man" because the "right man" in my mind is one who also doesn't want children.  I am however getting sick of everyone I know talk about their S/O and it seems like everyone I know is getting married/engaged/in a relationship.  I feel like a lonely lost soul sometimes...But I just smile and think about where my life is now and I don't worry so much. Smile  Hang in there, it will all be okay
