Great books and movies

I have used the time that I otherwise would've wasted on E8 and A6 reading and watching movies.  Here are some of my reviews.

Movie: Paradise Now.  I give this an A.  This is the Palestinian movie that caused a big brouhaha when it was nominated for Best Foreign Film.  People said it glamorized suicide bombing. I was not expecting to like it, but it was great.  I even think that it was anti-bombing.  As entertainment, it was very intense, unpredictable, and non-gory.

(I'm watching Sex and the City and Kandahar next. I know, what a combo, plus Dynasty and Dennis Miller will be on the way.)

Books:

Failure Factory by Bill Gertz is great.  It tells how W surrounded himself with RINOs and let the bureaucracies remain full of liberals who would undermine national security.  He mentions Richard Clarke and Frances Townsend among others.

Closing of the Border: great book with pros and cons about immigration and various policies.  Focuses on post 9-11.

They Must be Stopped   About radical Islam.  This book didn't say anything new, but it was good.

I have two Karl Rove books. I think they're negative, but they may be informative.

Sorry if this bored you.  I am somewhat encouraged by the very close (1.1% difference) IPD-TPP poll or something like that.  They predicted the 2004 election the best.  It's on Drudge.
