I swiped my old 10 gal from my parent's house this weekend. Can't wait to set it up! It's been a loooong time since I've had a tank going.
Photos to come once it's up and running!
Re: Fish tank!
Cool! I highly recommend them - they are so fun to have around.
P.S. Your baby is adorable!
Tropicals for sure - probably schooling fish like neons or white clouds, maybe a gourami, and some algae eaters.
Tyler really wants a fish though. I may cave and get him one after we move and are settled. I just don't know if I can handle a HUGE tank. Dh also wants to do salt water... love the idea, but aren't those hard to maintain? and $$$$
Getting back to it- my diet and exercise blog
Losing it...Without Losing it
LoL - I hear ya! My dad used to have multiple tanks running - a 10 gal in my room, a 20 gal in his room, and a 100 gal (I think - he still has this one and I could fit in it if I scrunched up a bit - I'm 5'1) in the family room. He still has the big one going. It's not too bad to keep up, but when you have multiples, it can get to be a lot of work. Saltwater tanks are a LOT more work and a LOT more $$$
Little tanks are super easy. Goldfish are great because they don't need a heater (or even an air bubbler) and there are a couple kinds of tropical fish, like white clouds that can live w/o a heater. There's lots of options for easy to care for/small fishies
