Sunday baking/cooking/eating
Did you bake/cook anything good this weekend? How about just eat something good? What was the best thing you ate this weekend? As always, if you have a great recipe, please share.
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.
Re: Sunday baking/cooking/eating
I'll contribute today/tonite! I made pumpkin pie bars yesterday for our dinner with friends. They turned out pretty tasty! I love many things pumpkin.
Also made a black bean/goat cheese dip. Turned out good, but I would change a few things next time.
The best thing I ate all weekend was a tofu dish at an Indonesian restaurant. I don't know what the spices were, but wow, yummy (and they cut the tofu super duper small. Of course! More surface area for flavoring that way.)
I'm baking for an event this weekend and made snickerdoodles, and coconut cookies that I will dip in chocolate later.
Right now there is herb cheese bread in the oven. We'll see how that turns out.
I tried a new recipe from an old Sunset magazine: black pepper tofu and green beans. It was good!
We had breakfast at a vegan donut shop this morning with friends (they also do brunch on the weekends.) I had a really good blueberry donut there
Oooh can I have the coconut cookie recipe?
It's this one: http://www.foodchannel.com/recipes/recipe/chocolate-coconut-scoops/
And this morning I made zucchini pancakes from scratch. They're becoming a weekend tradition around here.
I made pumpkin doughnuts, which were wonderful!! http://annies-eats.net/2011/09/26/pumpkin-doughnuts/
we ate at zacharys pizza saturday, which is always yummy
I made:
broccoli casserole
pumpkin muffins (and I forgot the brown sugar so they are not sweet so I made my own butter and brown sugar mix to spread on them instead).
Chewy oatmeal raisin cookies were DH ate 1/2 of them... I was hoping they would last a few days
Quinoa for quinoa "cakes" I plan to make this week
