Hunting Season has begun...
Between birds... which our dog is trained for and apparently it very good for only being 1 year old (on the 18th). We have had many pheasants already this season.
Ducks, which BIL has gotten and he goes and picks up his dog in NC this weekend.
Deer opened Saturday (for bow hunters) and DH already got a spike...butcher packaged it all up into the many types we will be eating this winter. Stew in crock pot is my favorite!
Any other hunter's wives?
Re: Hunting Season has begun...
My husband isnt a hunter, but my Dad and brother are.
I grew up in a household where you needed to learn to skin and butcher a deer, so I did! LOL
My dad would bring it home, and hang from the porch in the backyard and we would get to work. Put the meat right on the BBQ as we worked. Yea in the Bronx! New neighbors were not used to it at all!
My father moto - Do not plan anything during hunting season! LOL
My dad is a hunter too- he always caught squirrel, and rabbit which my mom refused to cook. lol
DH isnt really into it.
j's idea of hunting is bending to find something in the fridge.....
lol!!
They do their own deer too but DH was pressed for time Saturday between hunting, finishing a kitchen for clients and off to firehouse for 24hr shift.
