Ugh, it's Monday...I need to hear how good everyones' weekends were!
Friday L came over and we relaxed and went to bed early in order to get up in the morning for tailgating. Saturday morning we drove 1.5 hours up to my alma mater and went to a bar to watch the game. Tailgated after the game (a win!) with my parents, aunt and uncle. It was his first time meeting all of them, so he was a little nervous, but passed with flying colors! Yesterday we went to Costco and watched movies all day. Great weekend but felt too short!
Re: How was your weekend?
Good morning! Had a great but tiring weekend.
Friday-was a 2nd date with the Vet. Went out for sushi and had a pretty good time. He's a bad dresser (that I can get over) but I'm not sure I'm attracted to him really. He also told me that for the 5 years he was in vet school he didn't really date anyone which struck me as odd. He joked about having to get a syphillis test to get his visa for vet school and was like, "I'm clean!" which makes me think he hasn't had sex in 5 years...hmmm... Asked me out again for this weekend though.
Saturday-Had a girls night that was really fun. Went to a bar on Rutgers campus (it was their homecoming) so had a good time. Slept at my friend's house then went out during the day for day drinking and the movies with the girls.
Sunday-Talked to another guy from jdate--a teacher 14 yrs older than me with 2 kids. We're going for drinks on Wed night. Why not, right?
Haines--glad L. got a
!
And Mint, you are absolutely right, why not?? You never know!!
My weekend was okay. Friday night BF and I just relaxed and had dinner before he had to leave for his military weekend.
Saturday I went running with my friends, then work and then was totally lazy and just watched movies on the couch.
Sunday was studying for a licensure exam (yuck!!). Overall, not great but definitely not sucky haha!

MCC -- Are you going out with the vet again?
My weekend was nice. Watched U of M/MSU game at BF's house on Saturday, then went to dinner with his family. They are so welcoming of DS and I really really appreciate that. Sunday the BF and I took the horses out on a trail ride and it was so much fun. I'm super sore today though
Sounds like a great time Pearls!
Yes I think so. He invited me to go to an alpaca farm this weekend (I mentioned how cute I think they are) so that's the provisional plan. Maybe I was just really turned off by what he was wearing to dinner--he looked cute in jeans and a tshirt for our first date--khakis and a dress shirt, not so much
Maybe he just has bad dressier clothes because he works in scrubs all week.
Thanks, I could tell he was nervous!
GO WHITE! LOL
The horse you rode on Sunday was gorgeous! Glad you had fun!
A came to visit
. He came Wednesday evening and had supper with my mom, dad, DS and I. After supper we played with DS a bit. It was so nice to see how they got along-A would flip through books with him, play with his trucks together and make sure he didn't tumble down our living room stairs lol. Thursday DS stayed at home so I didn't get to see A until after he was in bed and we just hung out at his hotel and talked. Friday DS was back in daycare so we had breakfast together then just sat around and talked some more. It was really nice getting to know more about him. Although I've known him for over 2 years, it's a different kind of thing, KWIM? We decided we are exclusive and I'll be going to visit him in two weeks before he goes back up to work for six.
I feel all warm and fuzzy inside and had a great time with him-I can't wait to see him in a couple weeks and again at Christmas! He's so understanding and patient with me and is kind and wonderful and my family really likes him. We got to talking about getting married (not necessarily to each other, we're obviously not there yet) and it's something we both want in the future. Kids came up and I was stumped when he asked if I wanted more. I answered honestly saying probably not and he seemed ok with it but it's still too soon to go there I think.
Sorry I rambled...just had to tell someone about A. Every time I see him I fall a little harder
Haines- after reading your post I have the fight song in my head haha.
Friday night T (the guy I met from school) and I went to a Halloween party with my friends. Saturday I watched the game and T came over later after work and we watched the Tigers game and were just lazy. Sunday I worked, then went out to dinner with a coworker.
I woke up this morning with a sore throat
My weekend was great. I did the Warrior Dash with BF, his sister, and my BFF.
Before:

After:

My legs are bruised all to hell, but it was a blast.
Sunday, BF and I barely moved, ate chili that he made, and did laundry.
Congrats!!! L did that this year, and he's trying to talk me into doing it next year. Would you do it again?
That's awesome! Did you watch the game at home? We were at Dublin Square in EL.
Hope you feel better soon!
Yeah, I just stayed home. All my friends got up at 7 to tailgate but I was not moving lol. I bet Dublin was packed!
Yeah, it was for sure. We had to stand up the entire game but at least got to watch it on the big screen. It was so cold and windy outside that I was glad to be indoors!
Friday I went out for dinner and drinks with my Daughter. Her "21st".
Saturday had a girlfriend over and drank two bottles of wine with pita chips and hummus. It was wonderful.
Sunday made brunch for my family. Then we all watched Criminal Minds all afternoon. A lazy Sunday with family. Great weekend all in all.
I hope you feel better soon!
Maybe you should talk in person about the text. Sometimes the meaning behind things can get jumbled.
Sounds like a good weekend, Haines!
I just studied and hung out with DS. Nothing exciting at all but I felt very productive. Oh and my mom helped me clean out my garage which was absolutely disgusting and so that was a huge relief. I cooked a delicious butternut squash soup too so that was fun and made me in the mood for fall!
Thanks Haines. And I guess that's a good point. I'm a notoriously bad texter.
Crazy busy!
BF and I went to a dance on Friday night celebrating our instructor's birthday...I made Cuba Libre cupcakes for him, since that's his drink of choice (the instructor)
Saturday, bought a new car for BF (well, new-to-him), then went wine tasting with a bunch of his friends, then out to a Mexican place with them, and then we all came back to his house for a bonfire and fireworks
Sunday, we slept in a bit, then I did a buttload of cooking, then we went to another bonfire at a friend's house
