My sister's going back to work today! No word from the pathology (?) report, but she goes back Friday for a follow-up anyway.
My brakes are grinding bad. Going to take my car to Christian Brothers on 28th Street in a bit. Any experience with them? Since we live so close, I said I didn't need the courtesy shuttle; I'd run home.
Raise your hand if you're surprised.
Anyone run the GR Marathon/half yesterday??
Re: Monday, Monday...
Holy smokes, I can't believe she is already going back to work. My brakes are grinding bad too. I have to eamil MissyNa to see if her hubby can look at them for me next weekend. Let me know how it goes with Christian Brothers.
Enjoy!! It's a beautiful day to do that.

Wow. Great that your sister is going back to work already.
I cleaned and changed a few things around in the house. Fall Cleaning. I'll be loading up boxes to take to Goodwill in the next few days.
Anybody use Lumber Liquidators before? Good or Bad reviews welcomed.
I watched 14 kids with helpers on Sat for a friend's wedding. It went nuts but we all were able to control it and hold the fort down.
Good morning.
I finished my consulting class with a kick-butt group presentation this weekend. Now, I've finished 7 classes, and only have 6 more classes to go. Then practicum and internship (~700 hours), and then I'm done!
We had our open house this weekend. One person came, and she's not even looking to buy. I'm not going to grumble about all the work, but I think open houses aren't a good investment of time for either ourselves or our realtor. We still have showings semi-regularly, so I know there's interest in the house.
Jim's birthday was Saturday. He spent it watching the kids (because I was in class), taking Henry to urgent care (because the possibility of ear infections freak him out), and cleaning for the open house. We celebrated yesterday.
Kate - Glad your sister's getting back to work! Andy ran 2 legs of the relay yesterday and I played the role of spectator.
gvsu - Enjoy your day!
GRSP - Congrats on your productivity - school and house-wise.
I love green monsters. Seriously. I'm so glad I finally gave them a try. I had one yesterday & it kept me full for a long time. Good stuff!
GVSU - are you thinking this weekend (21st-23rd) or next (28th-30th). Let me know & I'll check with Ben.
Kate that is so great that your sister is back to work already! I hope she gets plenty of good news at her follow up appointment.
The 21st-23 if that works.. Thanks for asking. I was going to FB you after I put the post above and got sidetrack (short attention span).
Yay!
Deeder - Glad your getting a new windsheild. We're taking our Jeep in this week for some "computer" problem - the check engine light's been on awhile and our regular mechanic said we had to bring it to the dealer to fix the computer issue. Unrelated (as far as we know) the radio stopped working on Sunday. Neat.
I tried to catch up on sleep over the weekend. On Saturday our dog started shaking. Luckily our breeder has a vet book and suggested we give him pedialyte; it worked, so glad - she saved us a couple of hundred dollars since emergency vets are not cheap.
Sunday DH went to the wedding at the GR Marathon (I was sleeping in). I guess they ended up not running the first part but did run the last 16 miles. They were wearing half marathon medals at the reception, which I did go to, which was at McFadden's, later in the day. Fun times.
I'm leaving tomorrow for a business trip, Chicago then Massachusetts, coming home next week.
Awww, I felt a similar note of sadness when I got a new library card when I moved back to GR 5ish years ago. My old card was my first library card and still had my 1st grade signature on it.
Are you planning on Accessories for the walls? Maybe that will help.
I love seeing signatures from grade school on official government-y things. Cracks me up.
GRsp - It will be so worth the extra time and money when the room is just right. Would love to see pictures when it is finished.
WOP, do you find yourself more excited for friends having babies now that you're a parent? I know I do.
We're not putting anything on the bedroom walls except for maybe one generic picture. Selling = anything that makes us feel like it's ours is getting packed up.
Are you from Allendale? My older sisters grew up there.
No, I'm from Warren (metro-Detroit), but went to GVSU.
Juli, I'll bet it looks nice. Photos?
Haven't taken any pics yet - I'll see if I can't and post some tomorrow though. :-)
