I'm back too!! (PIP from Taj Mahal!)

Just got back from India last night. I took today off to get organised and am really glad I did!! It was an amazing trip, overwhelming and amazing and beautiful and exciting and exhilerating... I'm exhausted and giddy all at once. We only had one bad food experience and overall, I loved the food... I have managed to be the only person in the history of the world to go to India and GAIN weight. Back on the diet today!

In all honesty, it was the perfect thing for me after my m/c. Everything was so different (and difficult!) that it didn't give me much time for being sad and introspective. I really feel like I turned a corner and am excited to see what's next. I had a really terrible week leading up to this trip and it's really amazing to feel like myself again. Well... myself with 5 extra lbs to lose but myself nonetheless.

The Taj Mahal was absolutely STUNNING. I thought it might be one of those things that isn't as amazing just because I've seen so many pictures of it, but honestly, the pictures can't do it justice. We got some really beautiful pictures there but this one is my favourite of us... I still can't believe I was actually there!!

Hope everyone had a good couple weeks... off to catch up now...

I was hoping you'd post an update soon, after I saw you posting below.  So glad you had such a great time and are feeling better about things. 

I love the pic!  So jealous, since it was ridiculously cloudy when we were there, so our pic from this same spot is just a wall of white!  I guess that's just a good excuse for us to go back.

I felt exactly the same way! You always see the whole thing, and there's just so much detail that doesn't show up in the photos. The scale and detail were astonishing in person.

I'm glad you had a great trip! And I'm definitely jealous of your photo! None of mine are nearly that great!
