Fall is definitely here
Our heat is on, the place is in the midst of winterization (black out curtains are up, sealants are in, and the flannel sheets are on the bed), and darkness hits about an hour before I leave work now.
What're your favorite things about the changing season?

Favorite thing is the changing leaves. But those are pretty much dead and off the trees. So, now I'm just awaiting Spring. Sad, huh?!?
I love getting out the heavier duvet to put in my duvet cover. I love the nice large fluffiness of my winter duvet.
I also love being able to bake and not get upset by the heat from the oven heating up the whole place.
I also love bringing back the stews and soups since they are so good but not really a warm weather thing.
My Gluten Free Cheddar Beer Soup is about all I look forward to in the Fall and shopping Midnight Madness on Black Friday. I do like getting out my boot collection though.
I can't stand Winter here since it's not a real Winter. I'm used to Michigan Winter filled with Ice Festivals, skiing/snowboarding, hockey games, and snow that sticks. I'm back to counting the day until Summer.
I think I need another crock pot - all these recipes, and only one crock pot to make it in. It's crap. I love having the black out curtains back up again - darkness stays longer so I can sleep in easier, and it's easier to get rid of the pesky sinus migraines that pop up with this season.
Sweaters, hoodies, fall skirts....ok, I'm getting a bit too excited now. Oh, and my boots! I've missed my boots.
Okay okay soups, boots, fire, warm blankets all sound fantastic too!
