Tell me more about the warrior dash. How long is it? What is it exactly? I'm intrigued!

It costs $50 and for that you get to run the race, a warrior helmet (lol), a tshirt, and a free beer (which is your timing chip, so you turn them back in at the end).
It's 5k and 12 obstacles. The obstacles vary based on where the dash is located. You can come in costume, or you don't have to. It's a big friggin' party basically. Beer tent opens at Noon, races start at 8 am and run in 30 minute waves until at least 3.
There are bands, contests, etc. It's pretty crazy! The field of runners was from super serious all the way to people who were clearly there to just have fun. I loved this aspect because no one took it completely serious and everyone had fun and cheered each other on.
So, like my race started with a run through the woods (it was on a hunting preserve). About half the run was up front, and then you finally got to the first obstacle which was going over and under wood walls and rails. Right after that was another obstacle which was a rope net suspended about 8 feet in the air that you had to crawl across. Then, more running until the next obstacle...the Warrior Wall. I didn't get over that one. I tried and my upper body just wasn't there, so I went around (you have the option to skip obstacles). There were 4 different walls total, some balance beam things, some crawling under barbed wire, etc etc.
The final 3 obstacles were right in a row. 25ft cargo net wall that you had to go up and over, then jumping over 2 bonfires, and finally ending with a belly crawl to the finish line through a deep mudpit covered with barbed wire.
At the end you're handed a medal and everyone cheers for you.
My time wasn't awesome, it was my first 5k ever and I was poorly prepared. But I still had a freaking blast.
If one comes close enough, get a group together and do it.
Oh, and I forgot the best part!
You can buy a turkey leg to eat after the dash. With your free beer and while sporting your warrior helmet, doused in mud.
That sounds like so much fun!!!!!
