Dubois Farm in Highland?

Anyone been? Just heard about it - thought I'd take the kids this weekend for a pony ride and pumpkins.

Re: Dubois Farm in Highland?

  • i had a group there this past weekend.

I am not sure if the on and off rain had anything to do with it but it did not impress me.  We got there at two and there were no activities for kids.  On the other hand I went to Lawrence farms early this summer and thought their tiny town was so much cuter.

  • i heard petting zoo and pony rides and got excited. but it doesn't sound like you'd think it was worth 1 hr 10 min to get there....
  • no i think ours was an isolated situation.  i also had a group of 25.

go and have a great time!  either way there are 3 along 9w so you have your pick, if one doesn't rock your socks you can check out the other two.

  • Hmm... That's funny sugar that you had a poor experience. We've been there last year and the year prior. Both years had a ton of kids events. Pony rides, potato sack races, donut eating contests, petting zoo, little houses they could play in, arts and crafts. I am not sure if we just happened to be there on special event days? The only bad thing is that it was super crowded when we went there. DH won the cider donut eating contest two years running! He was a little disappointed that we moved and he wasn't able to win yet another free t shirt this year.... LOL!

  • ditto huzzy... we've been going there the last few years and really enjoy it.

its family oriented, and there are lots of things to do and see.

However, it IS an extra cost for pony rides - like $5 I think, but be prepared!
