Crafty question

DH and I did a sand mixing as part of our wedding ceremony.  It's in a vase, I've kept it put away with a paper covering it.  I'd like to display it though.  Any ideas on keeping dust out of the sand?  I was thinking of putting a layer of something like this over the sand?

Re: Crafty question

  • As a kid we used to use clear sealant/silicone.  It comes in a tube.  You could probably get it at a craft store in the sand art section.
  • I melted a candle and held it over the sand vase & let the wax drip down over the top of the sand, and it created an airtight seal.  It's been 2 years and the sand hasn't shifted at all!
