Upstate NY Nesties
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Do you know if there is anywhere to "share" books with others or to get free books? I'd rather try that before buying anything new right now. My local library is only compatable with the Nook. I've been doing a lot of reading while nursing Audrey at night...

Re: XP: Kindle users
i believe that the kindle is now supposed to be able to borrow from the library.. i'm don't know too much about it as i'm not a library girl but the book club board might be able to help.
you can also try pixelofinc.com- they have fb page and it list books evey day from free to $3.99
I'm a Nook user, but I think the process is similar. Check out this help link from Amazon- I think you need to know the lenders email addy, etc.

I think Overdrive is now also compatible with Kindle (although not sure if each library has to do it separately or how that works exactly). If your library isn't Kindle compatible yet, check out the Free Library of Philadelphia. For an annual fee, out of state residents can use their e-books. I think it was $15 or $20 last year, but may have gone up.
Cool, I didn't know that! Will have to check them out, too!
