AW: LA's costume because I can't wait!

No doubt these will be popular costumes this year. Easy peasy to make (if you need a last minute costume) and not expensive at all! LA ADORES it and wants to wear it all the time. I had to hide it in the closet until Halloween--after that, it will go in her dress-up bin. Too fun!
On Halloween, I am going to add a little patch nose (makeup) and some low piggies with raffia ties to complete the look.
I couldn't wait to share! I will no doubt AW again after Halloween with the "full ensemble!"

It's pretty funny actually--the dog cannot stand her in the costume. Barks and whines! Meanwhile, she just runs and laughs!

I made the hat and bird pattern myself--trust me, they are no great shakes. Just simple shapes. I hadn't intended for them to be part of our fall mantle, but after propping them up there to keep them out of reach, they have grown on me

Lily is going to be a scarecrow too, but her dress/overalls will be kind of a scrappy burlap/muslin instead, since I will need to dress her pretty warm. I wanted to do a hat like the one you made...did you just wing it or did you have a pattern? I was just going to wing it. :S
