where did you....
DH and I were talking about this last night and placing our bets so it made me wonder, where did you go into labor? morning afternoon or night? If it was your first what made you sure it was the real thing? and how long did you wait to go to the hospital?
DH is convinced I am going to go into labor at 4:30pm on a friday and we live 40 mins from the hospital so he will get stuck in bumper to bumper traffic.

I don't mind her posting here either-That's not what I said, I just said she'd probably get more responses over there.
#1 was really fast. It was about 8pm when I complained that i was having to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes but nothing was there. Sure enough, contractions were 5 min apart. I thought it would still take a while so I took a shower. I remember my mom dragging me out of the shower and getting me dressed to go to the hospital. Bailey was born about 90 min later. (total 3 hours from my complaint)
Q was induced.
i was actually induced then given pitocin. in labor for 13 hours no epidural either..though not by my choice. i asked for it and the lame dr. said NO because i was already 5 centimeters dialated..wth!
damn..it's been 14+ years since that happened..
Thanks for the responses everyone. I was just curious. I hope I have a quick 3 hour labor. That would be AWESOME! My mom had me in about an hour from 1st complaint to hello baby so hopefully I will be fast like that too.

i'm the wrong person to ask as i had to be induced .. lil miss rosie liked her hot tub a little TOO much and needed a lil shove to get outta there !
Well if we had to there is a hospital only about 10 minutes away. It just doesn't happen to be the one we plan on delivering at. In all honesty I will take her what every way she decides to come. (like I have another choice, lol)
me too, except not a week late. i was induced 2 days before my EDD b/c of low amniotic fluid. I had a 18 hours of induced labor before my c/s.
DD was around 3:30 in the afternoon. I posted on here asking about stabbing pains in my side (water broke with DS before any contractions started). We drove to the hopsital in the reverse commute around 6pm.
I was fast like my mom. DS was just over 6 hours from water breaking to him being born. I pushed for 15 minutes with him. DD was just a few hours from the time my contractions became timeable and consistent to being born and from the time I started pushing to when she was born was just under 90 seconds.
