Chocolate chip cookie recipe?
Anyone willing to share a really awesome cookie recipe? I need to bake some for Brenna's housewarming party this weekend and . . um. . . I've never made them. :::hides in shame::: I helped spoon the dough on the sheet with my mom as a kid but never made the batter. And her recipe they always came out super flat and I'd rather have something with a little more body to them.
I'm also making an apple streusel cheesecake recipe (actually a cheesecake factory recipe from what I was told!) which is delicious too! If anyone would like the recipe I have it in a word doc I can email it.

Re: Chocolate chip cookie recipe?
I don' thave a recipe, BUT i have a super important tip for you. [Note I am a fabulous cook but I SUCK SUCK SUCK at baking, and this helped me figure out why]:
When you measure by volume, like in a measuring cup, it can vary based on air pockets, how level it is, etc. If you can get a recipe that tells you how much to use of each ingredient by weight, and measure it out on a kitchen scale, it's much more exact (which is a lot more important in baking than regular cooking). Just my two cents
Lisa, I have an awesome chocolate chip cookie recipe at home. It uses vanilla pudding and makes the moist and soft and chewy. I will try to remember to get it for you tonight. Also, the recipe on the back of the Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chips is a pretty common/popular one.
This is exactly what I was going to say! I've tried several, and these are consistently the best. Can't wait to see other recipes though
I love baking!

I agree my nestle recipe ones always come out great. I find that if I sub in margarine for butter they are a little softer sometimes...random I know.

We have always made these and they are AWESOME. Not flat, but puffy, chewy awesomeness!
Good Luck!

Thanks so much for the recipe ideas! I will look over them this evening and decide then which to make. I am leaning to the one Danielle shared bc they look amazing, but Julie I would love that recipe with the pudding!
