Does your vacation start tomorrow? If so, I'm jealous.
Which reminds me - I need to get some NZ stuff figured out since we leave in like 9 weeks. Maybe I should rent a car or book a hotel or something.
I'm really jealous of all of you that are traveling and taking vacations. I guess I'll get my turn when I have THREE WEEKS OFF in about six weeks.
Today is crazy busy. I have stuff to do for two student orgs that I'm in and a mandatory research training session.
Oh and I'm having a fat day. It's completely illogical, but I feel chubby today. Pants and everything fits fine, so I have no idea where it's coming from.
I wish I were going to Florida!
DH has the day off unexpectedly (when there aren't enough packages they cut a driver for the day and it was his turn), which sucks because it means he doesn't get paid. However he will be able to get LOTS of house projects done - finishing the polyurethane on our table, cutting and stacking wood for the wood stove, lawn cleanup. The to do list never seems to get smaller!

Even with school, this happens to me frequently. Because my schedule is identical to that of my 80-something section mates, it's easy to just follow them around and sort of forget what day is which.

Last weeks robbery / chase/ shooting cause SS school to be locked down. It was something the he was used to b/c GRPS locked down several times. I asked him if it was different where he is now and he said not really but everyone got really quiet and now really talked not even the students.
I picked up some of the plastic window wrap to put on in the next few days. The ones that are up need to be replaced some have been on for several years now.
I also picked up 3 different bday card for my BFF and now have to gather 29 items for her 29th birthday and send them out.

Tee hee - we actually have some stuff booked - for the first week. Nothing booked for the last 2 weeks, but I'm not that worried. We'll always have our tent and there are these sweet holiday parks we can always stay at if we couldn't get a hotel/motel. I have a rough itinerary I'm looking to finalize this week and then I'll start booking accomodations.
Andy is in charge of car and flights to LA and he planned the first week of our trip since it's heavy on hiking.

Today and yesterday, I have been the worst trainer ever. My patience are gone.
She is slow, my computer is acting up, and I'm tired. And yes, Florida tomorrow. Not a good combination.
And I didn't get the job. Bummer. He told me I was choice #2. Choice #1 had more experience than me. (Duh, he's got 13 years on me, at least.)
He said he expects more positions to be opening up in his department soon and that he strongly suggests that I apply in the future.
Thank God tomorrow is vacation.
Sorry about the job. :-( It was probably a good thing you applied and he knows you're interested - and hopefully a job pops up in that dept. in the future.

I'm actually not nearly as disappointed as I thought I would be. So that's good at least.
So I made it to the gym this afternoon.
I'm trying to come up with the rest of my meal plan for the rest of the week now. I had it done through Wednesday so now I need to work out the next few meals. Last night I made taco bites to go along with Tortilla Soup. They turned out OK but I think the next time I would season the chicken differently instead. The salsa made it a little too wet for my taste.
