Help - can anyone recommend an EASY way to download from my video camera into some kind of software to burn CDs for home movies (note: I believe the camera just hooks up with a firewire). I have a bunch of videotapes that are full, but I don't really know how to download it into my Macbook or what software is good and easy to use for it. I don't need to do a bunch of editing, I just want to get CDs made so I can reuse my tapes. I don't even know where to go to get it to start downloading from the camera............argh! Thanks!!
Re: Macbook users
What MacBook do you have? Is iMovie installed? Do you have the firewire cord?
If so, I strongly recommend you get Toast Titanium here: http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/toast/titanium/ I can't find a shareware or trial version, but I have it and use it ALL THE TIME and it's amazing. It's not free or anything (it's rather pricey, actually), but you get what you pay for and this program is simple and effective.
