Halloween

Has this already been discussed? If so I apologize.

Is anyone dressing up or going out this year? What are you going to be? What about H, the baby(ies) or the furry ones?

Re: Halloween

  • Q will be an arab prince...it's actually a family heirloom...his father and grandfather both wore the vest when they were kids.

If we had somewhere to go, I'd probably coordinate something for Ray and I but no.  I guess I could do something with a sheet and make myself a burka (sp?) if needed

  • image I'm going to be Julia Ogden, the female pathologist from Murdoch Mysteries. I'm going to use the same outfit I wore to be adult Anne Shirley but just wear my hair differently and carry surgical scissors. I'm not sure where I'll be going/what we're doing that night yet.
  • I will be dressing up as a diva witch at work. We plan to decorate our house (yay, I love saying that!) and handing out candy to the ToTers. I love to see their costumes!

DH does not dress up but loves to decorate!

  • Rose is going to be a pumpkin this year because the costume is cute and in my price range. Some infant costumes go for $50, which is ridiculous to me. Bear is a black cat so he already fits in with the holiday. Stick out tongue

I am supposed to dress up for work but I have no idea what to wear that is office appropriate. I don't really want to spend any money so I might dig out my old cowgirl hat and just wear that. I wish my denim skirt still fit but my postpartum tummy says otherwise.

  • I think we will just be handing out candy to trick or treaters. It is our first halloween in our house so I am pretty excited!!. I will probably have to work that day or the day after so nothing crazy going on here. DH talked about painting a pumpkin on my tummy just for her baby book, but we will see if that happens.

  • seems to me that annual halloween party we're always invited too..somehow missed my inbox this year..boo!  lol

don't think we'll be dressing up, probably gettin' together with friends to take the group of kids ToT'ing together.

  • Crash is going to be Buzz Lightyear.  B will be a bumblebee.  I won't dress up.  :)
  • I'm not sure if I will dress up.  I made DS's costume; he's going to be a garden gnome.
  • I'm trying to find a reason to dress up, but we're out in the sticks and won't have any trick-or-treaters ... and I work from home.

  • Gah, sorry to post and run!

We got R a bear costume so we decided to put some yarn hair on our bulldog, Bretta, to make her Goldilocks and H and I might put on some brown ears to be Goldilocks and the 3 bears.

I love to have the house all decorated but DH hates halloween.  We did it up one year and it was great but we had a million kids and ran out of candy.  I worry about the stuff so we took it all down before we went to bed.  Last year we had a baby so we hid in the back of the house because I was worried the doorbells would disturb his sleep

Did you ever see the show David the Gnome? I loved it as a kid.

That's so cute! You'll have to share pictures/
  • I am going to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast (my friend has been making my dress) and my husband is going to be Indiana Jones, since he bought a leather hat in Disneyland and loves to wear khakis. We're going to a party and I'm pretty darn excited for it. :)
  • C is going to be a watermelon! I LOVE IT. I may be crazy, but that is ok.

I would love DH and I to dress up as farmers... but we'll see if I can get him on board. Farmers growing our little watermelon. The cats do not dress up.

LOL!  Thanks Hannah.  Stick out tongue

Think anyone will want to see my "telecommuter" costume?  Or should I go a little more dramatic?  Wink
