Nap Help

The last week or two Gianna has been having a rough nap schedule. It started where her naps would be shorter (1hr) and the last few days she will fall asleep for 20 minutes, then wake up crying. Today I rocked her back to sleep but whenever I tried laying her down she would wake up and cry. I feel like she's a newborn again!

She's not sick. Last week when we went to the dentist he said her eye teeth were starting to come in. I always give her teething tablets before nap time (when she's teething) and it usually helps for a least a bit.

I'm thinking about trying an amber necklace (during the day, not at nap).

Any other ideas or suggestions? She is just SO overtired.

Re: Nap Help

  • My pedi suggested I check the ingredients in the teething tablets to make sure there was no caffeine.  Have you tried ibuprofen?  Perhaps you are trying to avoid it.  You could try it once and if it made a difference then you would know that the teeth were hurting her.  My MIL said that when DH's eye teeth came in it was awful.  Maybe G's eye teeth are hurting worse than her other teeth.  Good luck!
