anyone make sugar cookies for favors?
i planned to make sugar cookies with royal icing for the favors for sam's birthday. and i think we're doing a small candy buffet too since dh just heard about them and thinks it's neat.
i'm getting 1-2 little things for the kids too from oriental trading -
how many cookies would you make per person? would you package them up to give out, or display them on the candy buffet too?
i have off thursday and friday so i make the dough, shapes and bake and then freeze them a few days before the party - thaw and decorate at night after work for 2-3 nights
i can't really start until the kids are in bed, which will be after 9/9:30.

Always missing my Mommy (1954-2010) and Daddy (1943-2012)
TTC since 2009 ; BFP 9/13/10 = MC 10/21/10
DX = DOR/POA (AMH=1.1; AFC=4-5)
Surprise BFP 8/31/11 while waiting to cycle for IVF
Welcomed our little miracle 5/7/12
I make them all the time. The time consuming part is the royal icing part. I would do 2-3 cookies per bag depending on the size of the cookies. You could have them in clear little pouches with ribbon that matches the colors of the party. If you wanted you could also have them in a cute basket on display.
I also sent you a pm.
