making a book?

I want to make my own book to hand out as gifts to my daughter's grandparents/ great grandparents. Its a journal for them to fill out that asks all kinds of questions. I'm just thinking a scrapbook/easy type of book, not like a book you buy at barnes and noble! Anyone have suggestions?

Would something like this meet your needs? I've made several... they take a little time and patience, but aren't too challenging. They come as a kit (including the posts, drilled and scored pages and cut cover pieces) and you choose your book cloth and cover papers.

There are also books like this, where it comes pre-made. Maybe that would work well since you'd be making/writing the pages..
