1) What made you decide to go into your field? I just stumbled into it. I took the intro to geology class as an undergrad for my general ed credit and loved it, so I ended up majoring in geology. I decided to go into petroleum exploration for my career because of the availablity of data and project funding- and the pay doesn't hurt either!

2) Favorite vacation you've ever taken? our honeymoon. We went to Iceland

3) how did you meet your DH? He was one of the first people I met at college. I went to school outside of my home state, so I didn't know anybody when I got there. He lived in the same dorm, and we met a few days after move in  in the common area. I was sitting with a group of people as he walked up. They got up and left about 10 min later, and H and I stayed and talked for a few hours. It took him a few months to realize that I wanted to be more than friends though.

1. How many (if any) kids do you and your H want? Right now, I don't really want any. H wants at least one, maybe two.

2. If you changed careers, what would you want to change to? Something to do with history- maybe work in a museum. I wanted to be an archaeologist for years.

3. Have you lived in Oklahoma your whole life? no, I moved here in 2007 for an internsip and grad school

4. Hobbies? I love to read. And I play the bagpipes.

5. Have any upcoming vacations planned? H and I are going hiking in Utah in November. We're going to see Zion National Park and The Wave, then spend a night in Las Vegas.

What is your best childhood memory? I used to walk my neighbor's dog. She (the dog, not the neighbor!) would stand at the end of her driveway wagging her tail when she saw our car pull up across the street. When my sister got out, the tail would go down, then I'd get out and her whole body would start wiggling again.

What colthing stores do you shop at? Kohl's, Maurices, Macy's

If you could change one thing about your wedding what would it be? I would use a different photographer. Our pictures weren't bad, but they weren't quite what I wanted.

What's your favorite song? I can never decide about my all-time favorite song, but right now I'm loving Sixx A.M.'s "This is Gonna Hurt."

Favorite season and why? Spring. It's warm but not hot yet, the warmth feels good after months of being cold, and flowers are blooming.

What activities were you involved in when you were in high school? Spell Bowl team and Academic team. I was a dork.

Least favorite? the months of 100+ degree weather

What's for dinner tonight?  letftovers- probably broccoli-potato soup if it's still good.

Any plans for kids?  When/how many? Still discussing that with H. Not for several years, at least.

What took you so long to come over here from the knot? I wanted a break from spending so much time on the internet, plus we moved to Texas for 6 months in the interim.  I finally joined the Nest a few months after we moved back to OK.

1. Explain your screen name. Our first Christmas together, H (then boyfriend) asked me what I wanted. I didn't know, so I gave my standard facetious answer: a pony. So H bought me a My Little Pony named Sunny Daze.

2. Favorite restaurant? hmmm, it's hard to top Hideaway Pizza

2. If you could have any (other) pet you wanted, what would you choose? I'd love to have a horse or another rabbit. Or a sea lion.

3. How do you feel about the Occupy Wall Street protests? I think it's great that people are going out and doing something about their beliefs rather than sitting around at home complaining. However, I don't understand what they're trying to do- their message isn't united enough yet. I agree with some of the things I hear and disagree with others.
