How long does it take you to clean your shower?

Scrubbing our shower is around a 30+ minute job and I HATE it.

What kind of shower do you have?  Is there any product you can spray on it and leave it to do its work then come back and wipe off?

I know when I lived in an area with harder water I would get a scum buildup that was terrible to clean.  I sprayed it with vinegar let it soak for a while then came back and went over it with a normal bathroom cleaner (scrubbin bubbles is my favorite).

We have a super easy to care for acrylic shower.  We have a detachable shower head, I normally start out by wetting the whole thing down, then I use either Lysol bathroom spray or Comet powder.  I scrub it with a scrub brush.  My biggest time taker is that it's so hard to get the cleaner all over the shower without using the entire container (getting a "lather" for lack of a better word).  I know I'm not skimping on cleaner because I already use so much of it, but it just seems like in order to be able to get cleaner on the entire thing I have to spray every square inch (if that makes any sense).

I would definitely try a spray.  If you spray it at the top you can let some drip down so you don't have to cover the whole surface by spraying.  I definitely don't think it should take you a half hour to clean!  Do you do it weekly?  I do ours once a week and find I only need to give it a quick spray and wipe down to keep it clean.  Sometimes I do a second cleaning if its been a dirty week (working in the yard a lot).  It is only my husband and I.  Kids would definitely make the cleaning process harder and longer.

It's on my schedule every week but I loathe it so much that I skip it more than I'd care to admit.  Our kids have their own bathroom and theirs is so much easier to clean because they only take baths so I only have to clean out the tub part, not the walls.

I haaate cleaning the shower too (so much that I want a maid just to mop and clean the shower). I spray it with mega shower foamer or some oxy stuff and then I use the old kitchen sponge to wipe it around on the walls. I sometimes let some cleaner sit in the bottom corners for awhile. I use a big cup to drench the walls afterwards. I wish we had a detachable shower head!!

Mr. Clean magic eraser for the bathroom!

We have a small standing shower, so not long, but even shorter with a Magic Eraser.

I don't spend any "extra" time on it... I just grab a sponge and some Soft Scrub and work on it during my shower. Doesn't take extra time, and I don't mind getting soaked while working on it!

I do this. Get in and scrub, rinse it down than take a shower myself.

I either do soft scrub or vinegar and baking soda...so nothing too toxic that I mind if a little gets on me.

Me too!  When I do clean it, I just spray it down with Scrubbing Bubbles and then wash off with the detachable shower head later.  About once or twice a month I get a sponge and scrub it.  I think I may buy some daily spray Tilex just to see if I can get away with cleaning it less!

I takes me maybe five minutes. I do it every week so it's not bad at all. If I didn't do it every week it would probably take me forever and a day to clean it. A detachable shower head really helps make it go faster.
