Not a good way to wake up...

Our smoke alarms went off at 4:15 this morning. It woke me up immediately and I had to wake up H. That man could sleep through anything.

We jumped up and ran through the house looking for fire and smoke. We also ran outside in our pajamas and looked for smoke. Thank god it was a false alarm. It took H a few minutes to find the alarm that caused them to all go off and disable it. It was the one in our bedroom that hasn't chirped and I think just got a new battery. Of course after we went back to bed it started chirping. The alarms went off again about 6:30.

Poor Amsterdam, MJ and Aerith have no idea what was going on. They're all freaked out and hiding. Amsterdam has been shaking for the past 2 1/2 hours.

H thinks that alarm is going bad so it's currently laying on the bed.

I need coffee.  And a nap.

  • Amsterdam's peed the bed with me in it. That's not a good way to wake up either.

Would you like an extra shot in your coffee?  *Passes caffiene drip*

  • I'm going to the doctor this morning since I'm still sick and I really hope I can't go into work today.

  • Someone called my work phone (which is essentially our house phone) at 5am this morning. They were trying to reach someone in Kenya. Needless to say, I was not happy. Oh, and I realized we were out of coffee so I ran to the convenience store right outside our neighborhood to get a cup and missed an important call from my manager (she sent me an email saying she had good news for me and would call Keon a break from the conference she's at). Now m waiting for her to call again and dying to know what it is about.

  • I hate when my phone rings early in the morning. I always assume it's an emergency.

Lucky, let us know when you find out your good news.

It totally freaked me out because I was dead asleep. I always assume an emergency also.

I honestly have no idea what the news could be. It will probably be something stupid and I'm staring down my phone for no good reason.
