What is your typical weekday breakfast?

Re: QOTD Thursday (breakfast)

  • Cereal, milk, OJ. Every day. Usually Quaker Oat Squares mixed with something else. I'm a cereal mixer! (a serial cereal mixer?)
  • Cereal.  Usually Cheerios, Cinnamon Life or Frosted Mini Wheats...

Stand up for something you believe in. White Knot
  • I usually do a quick sandwich (just lunchmeat and cheese) on toast. And then when I get to work, I microwave it for a few seconds so the cheese gets melty.

Today I had no patience for sandwich making and just grabbed some Annie's Bunnies and yogurt. I feel like I'm in preschool.

  • Lately, plain greek yogurt with a banana or oatmeal with apple chunks.

  • i don't really have a "usual".  I rotate between cliff bar, egg & cheese open faced sandwich, steel cut oatmeal with fruit in it, yogurt with fruit & granola, plain toast, or sometimes even dinner leftovers.

i don't really like cereal or milk so that's really a last resort option.

  • If there's time, I'll have a bowl of cereal at home (usually either Cheerios, Frosted Flakes, Frosted Mini Wheats, or Golden Grahams). If not, I have boxes of instant oatmeal at my desk that I make at work in the microwave.

If I'm having a rough morning, I'll get a turkey bacon sandwich at Starbucks.

  • Raisin Bran, milk, OJ.  This has been my weekday breakfast of choice for the past 15 years.  I'm beyond being just a creature of habit - at this point I'm a little old lady set in my ways.

  • One and a half whole wheat mini bagels, toasted with cream cheese. Sometime I'll have greek yogurt as well. I usually dont' eat until I get to the office.
    Photobucket
  • english muffin, morningstar farms "sausage" patty and a slice of cheese.  Yum!

  • Really depends.

On days for bootcamp (4 days a week) - cup of oatmeal with a fruit smoothie (frozen fruit, greek yogurt and a spash of juice blended with some ice.

For no bootcamp day (wednesday) - english muffin w. peanut butter and a glass of juice

  • Usually toast or English muffin with a string cheese and tea.  Sometimes instant oatmeal or granola and yogurt when I've had time and energy to make some.  I hate cereal and only eat it if there's nothing else or I'm in a weird mood.

  • Fiber One raisin clusters cereal with skim milk, then when I get to work I have an Activia.

The only reason this would change is if we were out, in which case I will have a bowl of oatmeal or a whole-grain waffle.

  • It varies.  Leftover pancakes; homemade muffins; steel cut oatmeal with honey, walnuts and raisins; eggs, sausage, and toast, on occasion greek yogurt with honey, berries and granola (usually I eat this for an afternoon snack), on occasion PB&J (although I love this for lunch so it's not often a breakfast food).  I will say my breakfast variety has increased tremendously when my children started eating breakfast.  I try to feed them protein filled options and usually eat the same.
  • Coffee, a banana, and yogurt.

  • I'm lazy in the AM, so I just pack a frozen light breakfast sandwich (Target brand) and nuke it when I get to work. I have that, a banana, and a cup of coffee everyday. It's pretty filling.

  • Usually a bowl of cereal (shredded wheat more often than not) with milk, and coffee. In the winter, I'll switch that up from time to time and have some plain oatmeal with pumpkin and dried cherries mixed in.  In warmer months, I'll mix it up with some plain Greek yogurt and fruit.

I'm a creature of habit, I eat pretty much the same breakfast and lunch every weekday.

  • Oatmeal with milk and fruit. Every day. It has helped with my milk supply and I liked it a lot before BFing anyway so I just stick with it. Coffee is a necessity every day.

  • A hard boiled egg, piece of turkey bacon and coffee.

When I get to work I'll sometimes have a V8. And then I usually have some yogurt or cottage cheese as a mid-morning snack.

  • I like variety in my breakfast. Definitely coffee every day, and then it can be any number of things. Most important is that they have protein/fiber to keep me full for awhile. So... oatmeal, small portions of eggs, luna bars, etc. Yum!
  • Either a coffee and a chia seed muffin from Le Pain Quotidien, or an egg mcmuffin no meat and a coffee from McD's.
  • I eat at work; I have a banana and about 30mins later I'll have some yogurt and sometimes a cereal bar with it. Followed by another fruit. Once in a blue moon, I'll get a wheat 6" breakfast sub at Subway, it's only $2.50. But I don't usually buy breakfast or lunch.

  • I don't eat breakfast Surprise

Eating when I get up makes me sick and i'd rather sleep longer than get up earlier to eat something.

  • large skim latte and some fruit. i usually have the fruit as a late morning snack.

  • Wow!  You guys are good. I'm not a big breakfast person so usually only 2 cups of coffee.  If I do eat, its usually oatmeal or Special K cereal.
  • piece of bread with peanut butter, milk
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • It rotates between cereal (usually plain Cheerios or Honey Bunches of Oats), oatmeal, grits, an English muffin or toast, frozen chocolate chip waffles, and cinnamon poptarts (yes, not the healthiest, but they're quick). I usually drink juice or milk, and have a piece of fruit.

One of my absolute favorites is toast with nutella and banana slices. It grosses DH out!

  • this morning, it was 4 oatmeal cookies. Embarrassed

i'm not a big breakfast eater, so if i eat anything it's a bowl of cereal or a granola bar. but usually i just don't want to eat when i get up. when i was pg and had GD, it was like torture every morning having to get some kind of egg product down. gag.
