Office Questions - Games??
I was just wondering if anyone has games they place at their office?
I work at a bank and my branch manager has ask a few of us to come up with some ideas for games to play that will promote productivity. So far I have only came up with a BINGO type of game with products that we sale to customers and whoever gets a sale can mark it off on the their BINGO board.
I have done some searching on the Internet and have not found much of anything.I would like to at least come up with one other idea to present so any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
Re: Office Questions - Games??
Ok my suggestions aren't exactly "games" but they're well liked morale exercises in our office.
We frequently run internal contests...first person to sell X, or get a signed contract, or to make the most pitches/collect the most business cards or whatever receives tickets to a sports game/a $100 gift card somewhere/lunch out somewhere really cool with the higher-ups.
We have several offices so not only is the prize itself incentive, but if someone on our team wins, our boss usually sends out an e-mail to everyone in sales as an announcement. That e-mail is nice because it gives the winner notoriety around the company, with people from other offices we don't see in person very often. (I don't recommend this be your only prize, but it's a cool, easy follow up thing to do.)
My boss also asks us to nominate our peers for quarterly awards rather than doing it herself, and asks us to include a couple sentences as to why we're nominating that person. It gives her nomination more validity, and then at our next staff meeting she reads anonymous quotes from the nominations. This is always pretty cool because whether you were actually nominated or not, you get to hear nice things your coworkers are saying to your boss about you. It's just a positive energy-feel good thing.
Sorry I'm not much help- hope you have some luck finding games!
We had "games" when I worked retail.
1. There was a cut out tree with branches. Each credit account you opened earned a leaf on the branch. First to fill up tree got a $50 gift card.
2. Trivia questions during morning meeting. Winner got a candy bar.
