Re: FFFC
FIL is getting remarried in two weeks and his FI keeps asking me to send her a picture of the dress I'm going to be wearing. I don't really understand why she cares, I'm just a guest at the wedding who may be in a couple of pictures. I told her I hadn't picked anything up, because quite honestly I've felt like crap the past month and a half, but that I plan on picking up something black with some fun jewlery. She keeps asking for a picture. I don't understand her obsession, I'm irritated, and am tempted to tell her I plan on wearing jean cutoffs and a t-shirt.

pick an ugly or inappropriate dress & send her that.
I'm going to a wedding tonight - I'm irrationally annoyed that it's on a Friday night. It's being held @ their parents house - so it's not saving them money on the venue.
- we have to hire a dog sitter
- it's 2hrs away
- we have to stay over night bc it's 2hrs away & starts at 6pm
- Dh had to take the day off so that we could leave earlier enough
- i have to leave work early
- i'm considering not getting them a wedding gift. this is costing me enough $$ already
-okay fine. i'm going to get them a wedding gift
I'm just annoyed. I can't miss it. I could - but that would be totally uncool. I want to go, it's just inconvenient.

The pink one would be awesome to send. Say you just love the color!
I feel like since my own wedding, I have been invited to more Friday weddings than Saturday weddings and it's always a HUGE hassle for us. I get the "saving money" thing (except in your case, ugh!), but especially since we always have to travel, it's such an inconvenience. I guess maybe it's alright if you are local, but we never are. The worst was one that was on the Friday of a holiday weekend (Monday off), and the bride's reasoning was even that it would be "more convenient for people to travel," not that it was saving them money. How is it more convenient for people to have to take off the Friday before a long weekend? Plus it was early in the day so we actually had to take off and travel on Thursday. UGH.
Moral of the story: I sympathize.

I think I'm going to stop asking parents what their kids names are at the park. Every time I ask, I get told something stupid, and I am having a hard time being polite about it. Most recently, I met a toddler named "Reference." To the mom, I said, "Really?" She said, "Like reference book."
I know what "reference" means; I just don't know why you hate your baby girl.

I have a friend who was a NICU nurse. She was telling me about a woman who named her daughter Diarrhea. My friend tried to encourage her to think about the spelling and she kept saying "It's Dee-rrr-e-ah". Yeah, maybe that's how you pronounce it, but it won't be long until one of her classmates picks up on the spelling and starts making fun of her.

there are no words.
So true! My DD's name is Jaysa. I can't tell you how many times people have called her 'Jayson", or thought she was a boy! When I picked the name I loved it and still do. But I'm glad DH talked me out of the middle name I wanted, and we went with Rae at the last min!
So recently I found out a co-worker has a problem with me being pregnant and that she should get pregnant too so she can get special treatment. I first of all do my job great and even help out a lot in different departments with no questions or complains. I was having a hard time with not getting sick when I smell something really strong so I have requested IF and only if it's possible that I work in the back office which actually work to their advantage. I have my own desk in the lobby (I'm a hotel concierge) and I will work there and have no problems working there but they keep scheduling me to work the front desk which 8hrs of standing and smelling all kinds of scent, I still do it just had to excuse myself a lot when the next guest comes up who showered with perfume/cologne before I puke on the keyboard lol anyways, so I asked if I can work in the back which again was still to their advantage. I have asked to go home early at times because of nausea but I don't ask if it's a busy day only if it's extremely slow. Apparently, she does not approve of it, she's not my boss.
I wanted to confront her but my supervisor said it's not worth giving her the time of the day. Next time she makes a remark about me being pregnant, oh boy, it's on! This pregnancy hormones will come to good use lol
Last weekend my boss got a new haircut and on Monday I told her it looked good. It doesn't. It is an old lady haircut and does not fit her curly hair very well. Ugh.
my read shelf:
wow, that is really bad! and it makes it even worse that she explained it to you.
