Finger food apps?

We're going to a wine & cheese night at a friends house and I signed up to bring some finger foods/apps.Things like crudite and dip are already taken and I'd kind of like to bring something that looks pretty/tastes awesome.

Ideas? Links?  What would you make?

Re: Finger food apps?

  • I made some bacon-wrapped dates for the catering event I just did, they were out-of-this-world.  They were stuffed with goat cheese, gorgonzola, dried cranberries and pistchios.  I haven't blogged them yet, but here is the recipe - http://www.jasonandshawnda.com/foodiebride/archives/859

    they were amazing!

Mmm, that sounds awesome! Another easy app is ceasar crostinis. Slice up an italian loaf into little crostinis, brush with some olive oil and fresh parm or asigo. Bake them for8 to 10 min. Make up a caesar sans croutons. When the tostados cool, top with salad. You could also do tostadoa with pear and brie. Drizzle a little honey over them.

  • These aren't super elegant, but salt and pepper wrapped roast beef slices around asparagus spears and chicken satay are usually my fave apps.
