How often do you wash them? How often do you change them up? Is it different for different rooms - curtains in the living room vs. bedroom?
I was changing my bedroom stuff over for the colder weather and it got me thinking what do other people do.
Re: Comforters and curtains
Not sure if I am responding wrong or not....usually there is a box at the bottom...not finding it...so I chose reply!
Anyway...sheets/comforters usually once a week. Curtians...haha...like every other month or so (this is probably way less than I should, but I am lazy when it comes to reaching up and fighting with curtain rods! Since my living room is curtain free I get to skip that room all together. (We have wooden blind things in there) Kitchen and other more public areas are done more often than my bedroom since more people see them. Hope this helps
I change the sheets more often than anything else. The problem with the comforter is that it doesn't fit in the washing machine. If I wash it, I have to take it to the laundromat. Needless to say I don't wash it as often as I should. Plus the winter comforter is the fake suede and has to be dry cleaned.
I'm like you with the curtains - not as often as I should I'm sure.
ktobin - you wash your curtains monthly? Ummm.....I wash them far from that often. ::shurg::
I have several sets of sheets so I just rotate through those every week(ish). The main comforter I wash every few months. The down comforter (for winter) just goes to the dry cleaner at the end of the season.
Yeah I think I'm kind of seasonal for curtains.
I might go 2 weeks with sheets or so.
Like you, Two, I bring the winter comforter to the dry cleaner at the end of the season. I just brought my summer comforter to the laundromat since it's too big to fit in my machine. I actually vacuum my comforters when they are on my bed - to get the cat hair off of them. It seems to work pretty well lol.
I don't have curtains so that one is easy!
My comforter has to be dry cleaned and it cost $40 when I had that done last. So I don't do it as often as I should....its probably time to be washed now...
Sheets I wash every week or so.
