I've done the swoopy. I had bangs in jr. high & high school, but not since. I cut my hair short after wedding, which I love. But, I was thinking of growing it long again and it's in an in-between stage. I either need to go short or add bangs or something...it's really boring right now.

I have a sordid history with bangs, so it's really hard for me to give good advice on this, lol. I think you might be able to pull of the Zooey bangs, which are kind of like the ones you had before but thicker and I think a little shorter. The thing that's tricky for me is that people with curly/wavy hair (like mine), bangs are tricky and can go wrong easily. I have side swept bangs, but I straighten them whenever I wear them down.

They're so cute, but I think they have to be done exactly right, or it just looks like a mess (I know I would).

I have mixed feelings too. And I agree w/ the curly waving hair it can be weird, esp if the bangs are straight and hair is curly. But I love them on Zoe and the barista at Starbucks and I need some change...so I've been considering. I'm getting mixed advice...
Maybe I'll ask if they can cut them so I can wear them down or to the side, so if I hate 'em I can just wear them to the side...
