Hi everyone! Just wanted to get on and say thank you for all the congrats! Guess bacon really does do the trick.
I started having contractions that night but they weren't painful, just uncomfortable, and I slept through the night. The next day I actually debated whether or not to go to work. I ended up not going in and they got worse until DH told me we should probably call the dr. I finally did and they had me come in. On the way to the dr, I actually told DH we should get Zaxby's for lunch on the way home, because I was so sure they would send us home. Nope, I was 3cm and 100% effaced and the dr told me to go to L&D and that we would be having our baby that day.
He ended up coming 1 hr and a half before his due date. So punctual!
The first few days postpartum were pretty hard, but things are getting better/easier. It's certainly a learning experience and I have already learned that you never say never before you're actually a parent! DH has been absolutely amazing. I didn't change my first diaper until Friday, because he has been doing so much.
I actually finished the book club book 2 days before I went into labor, so it's too bad I didn't get to go and discuss.

Re: Hi!
He is so adorable! I love the picture where he is "pointing" to his mouth
I hope your recovery is going well! It can definitely be tough and there really is no way to know what to expect. It took me a while to change a diaper too
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?
