Question about iCloud....

My husband and I both use the same iTunes account and just both updated our iPhones but declined using iCloud because we weren't sure how it may affect us.  My questions are the following:

- If we chose to use iCloud, would it automatically push everything we have on our phones/computers to each other? For example, I don't need all his phone contacts, and we don't listen to 100% the same music. The main things we would want to share would be photos and *some* music and apps.

- If so (to the above), is there a way to partially share, or at least have iCloud "ask" before sharing, without separating our iTunes ID?  I don't want to have to purchase music twice just because we have to split up our iTunes ID.

Anyone have insight?  Thanks!

Re: Question about iCloud....

  • There are settings so you can choose what to share. So you could just click no on all the ones you don't want to share while still using the cloud.
  • My husband and I share the same iTunes account as well. This one took a little research, but I have it figured out. We each have a separate iCloud account for mail/calendars etc and you can log into iTunes separately. I just leave the automatic download off and sync songs/apps/video manually.
