Hosting a last minute fall get together!
We decided to invite a few family/friends over next Sun. We had people over last year on Halloween (which was a Sun) and decided to do it again Halloween weekend. Its not a costume party as it will be @1 and mostly adults and some of us will have been at a huge costume party the night before. It will be very casual and laid back, so think possible hang over and comfy clothes. We'll put football on but our local team isnt playing so no one will be too interested. I tend to always have WAY too much food so I would like to avoid that. I just feel like I'm missing a side.
So far this is my menu:
Buffalo Chicken Dip - Pita Chips
Veggie Platter
Deviled Eggs
Chili / Toppings
On the Grill ~ hot dogs & baked potatoes, either can be topped w/chili
Bok Choy salad
Brownies
Either Apple Spice Cookies or something made w/pumpkin butter since I have a jar
Whatever my mom brings
Beer
Rum Cider
Bloody Marys
Water/Pop/coffee & I always have red/white wine on hand if anyone requests either
Critique away ladies!
I could also use recipe suggestions for desserts with pumpkin butter. I have a jar of really good home made stuff but dont know what to do with it.

Looks great to me. I would love a party like this. Sorry can't help with the pumpkin butter.
Do you have any vegitarian friends? If so then some hummus for the veggie platter as a dip.
Everything sounds pretty good!
I don't know how helpful this is, but WS sells a pecan pumpkin butter and these are the recipes they use it in.
Maybe roasted broccoli with buttered walnuts? Casual and easy, but definitely a green veggie. Not a pick-up food though.

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
I would definitely add some cornbread. You have a veggie platter and eggs and potatoes. I'm not sure what bok choy salad is, but I think you've got plenty with that. Last time I did chili I did 7 layer salad so that's no real help.
Maybe a corn and black bean salsa or cucumber salsa?
