Em House update?

What's up?  How are things going? Are you moved in yet?

Re: Em House update?

  • Guess who fails at checking local board, I DO!!

Yes we moved in 9/9 and aside from a few little issues everything is great! Started a new blog, got tired of the other one and it was irritating me so I kicked it to the curb :)

I will hopefully have pics up this weekend of the house, even though it is in no way un packed.

We had to suddenly fence in an area at my parents and build a run in shed to move the horse there (they were being boarded) because the lady moved to TX. That has taken an extreme amount of time.

Have y'all made any progress? I know you were working on permits and wells I think.  Have you moved in to your parents (IL?) yet.

  • Yes we're finally up and running!  We closed with the bank on Monday.  We have about 1/2 of the first floor exterior walls up.  The basement floor should be poured later this week. I suspect we'll be under roof by the end of the month.

We moved in with the ILs at the end of September so we've been here about a month.  So far things have been going well!

    Looking forward to pictures!

  • Awesome!! It's amazing how everything changes from when its framed in to when drywall goes up.  We walked through the house and were always saying "Theres no way our beds fitting in this room" until the drywall went up.
