This is pathetic. I ended up wheeling our (full) garbage can back to the garage. Why, you ask? Because we don't trust that the neighbors in the duplex across the street won't decide to wheel ours back with theirs before I get home tomorrow. They put theirs in the spot we typically put ours (in front of OUR house) and our neighbor next door has already had her recycling can swiped. Sad when you can't trust the people on your street not to steal your trashcan.

Re: garbage woes
The can at our old house got stolen by the neighbor, right next door. This was after we moved and have it now as a rental. I knew because I called the city to get our tracking numbers. So I went right back over there and took it back. I was contemplating painting them with our house number because I know it will happen again. We have sort of a duplex so we have cans for the upper and its not rented so I think people asume they can take them since no one is living there.

Before I had the "city" cans, I had to spray paint my address # on my cans. The wind was the one "stealing" them. LOL. A few times they got blown down the street and my retired neighbor would go but didn't know which were mine until I painted them :-)
