I have the normal. Weekend went to quick and I hope it's not a case of the Mondays. Positive side: I'm glad to have a job to complain about and the RANGERS Won!! Now we just need to keep it going.
Re: B&M Monday
The fog. It's ridiculous. And people need to learn to drive in it... rule #1, turn your headlights on! I almost hit a white car that was driving down the highway with no lights.

Really?? How could they even see if they didn't have their lights on? Sometimes I wonder what people are thinking, I don't mean that in a mean way, I really do wonder.

I only love the fog because I no longer commute an hour. People are so stupid in anything but sunny weather.
My B&M is work related. We lost a cool destination wedding last night because the bride's mother told her she couldn't get married on Mother's Day. The bride was pretty upset, because obviously, it's not like their anniversary will always be on Mother's Day. So the only other weekend the bride's venue is available is a weekend where we have a triple header (Friday/Saturday/Sunday weddings). Boooooo. We're still shooting their destination engagement session though, so that'll be cool. Just bummed. Womp womp.

Sarah - That sucks. We had our wedding the day before Father's day. We didn't even realize it until we got a few months out.
Sarah - Why did you leave? I'm sorry to hear you didn't get to enjoy everything.
Lauren - Where did you get your new truck from? What is it?

The fog is crazy but I dont know why no one seems to know how to drive in it.
Chelsea- that sucks and is very selfish/childish of the mom.
My B&M we had a good time at the fair (first time going) while we were there but on the drive home I starting feeling really sick. I spent the next 4 hours throwing up. Yesterday Matt got burger king and just the smell of the french fries made my stomach turn.
We got it from Sam Pack Five Star Ford in Plano. It used to be Middlekauff Ford where I got my Escape and my dad got his Explorer. I think that may have helped us (as in they didn't want to lose repeat customers since my dad is still looking for a new SUV as well).
It's a 2010 Ford F150 XLT. I can't seem to get the picture to load, but it's on my facebook.

I had a really good weekend, and I'm finally feeling better. I didn't cough all night last night for the first time in abotu 5 days. Still a little sniffly this morning, but I'll live. I am wearing jeans and a t-shirt today in support of the Rangers. I love getting to dress super casual!
My B&M: I have jury duty tomorrow. I'm dreading it, mostly because of having to navigate my way to a new place, and having to get there earlier than I get to work.
Lauren - I was thinking of shopping there after the first of the year when I start looking for a new car... I'm sad to hear that your experience wasn't that great
Boo for car salesmen, Monday's, fog, wet blankets and everything!
Angie - It's a shame because my experience with my Escape was pretty quick and easy and actually enjoyable. I know not all are the same, so if you do go hopefully you get a better one. We had a salesman, then he brought his manager over, then that guy brought his manager over.
It was just a little much when the last time we had the one salesman and that was it. He gave us a deal that other dealerships couldn't beat. I hope you have an experience like that!

And that's a pressure sale. I actually worked for a car dealship for a while when I was 20. It was awful - and the games are the worst.
Bio
Sorry you guys aren't feeling well. Hopefully it's over soon.

We left because DH was being all mopey and obviously didn't want to be there.
If you guys get a chance, would you mine going to vote for something for me? I hate to ask, but we could really use the $100 prize :-). Its on my FB page and its the picture of St Lucia. Thank you! :-)

Same. Baby explosion.
Yay Rangers!
Micromanaging. I seriously dislike being the middle man. Either let me do my job or take the task over yourself. Millions of questions for every move is getting annoying and time consuming. It's like working with a 2 year old who is in the 'but why?' stage.
Telemarketers. They call all the time at work and the one lately is about to be hung up on when I see the number. This same guy, Andrew or Anthony or something with an 'A', calls on a weekly basis now asking for a student because this is the number they gave as a contact. Since I don't give out personal info, I talked with the student who says he has never given our number out because he doesn't even know it. I actually googled the number and it's a student loan scam. A time share caller called twice this weekend.
Men. Mainly my husband. He has managed to lose 10 pounds in about 1 week or 2 on his Taco Casa diet. WTH? He doesn't do anything! And he eats like crap. He would never see a vegetable or fruit if it wasn't for me.
My workout video is scratched so I'm hoping it will play in our DVD player. DH said peanut butter will get scratches out and I've heard the same thing with a yellow highlighter. Thankfully the video did not cost much but still...
And I think I need to bite the bullet and buy some new shoes.
I have asked them to take us off but I will try to be more firm next time.
I will have to check into the Do Not Call Registry. Thanks, Angie.
I could not agree more. Wow.
Glad you had fun but got sick afterwards. How are you doing this morning?
Bio Good Times
Jaymi - Hope you week gets better. We have those calls at work too. Normally I just tell them it's a business line and I don't hear from them again.

I can't think of anything to B&M about. Maybe I'll think of one later.
Leslie, I had a sore throat for forever until I started taking allergy medicine. Then it went away (sorry!). Sometimes if I have a stubborn one, I try Mucinex.

Not a lot to B&M about today except that I'm tired. I thought I slept well but after talking to DH this morning apparently I spent a good hour or so in a dream and kept kicking my feet (trying to run) and hitting my pillow and yelling no. I remember the dream very clearly and know I was trying to run and fight off my zombie husband, SD, best friend and mom and 1 dog from killing me. DH said it was funny but that he couldn't get me to calm down at all. He said he didn't want to wake me up but that he tried rubbing my back and hair and telling me it was ok he was right there. He said he could tell it was a bad dream but he was laughing pretty hard too from all the kicking and hitting I was doing.
I've been having very vivid and life like dreams the last few weeks. I'm hoping it's just a phase of pregnancy and it will be over soon! Not all have been scary but they just feel so real! Last week I had a dream we were BFF with Prince William and Kate and moved to England. DH said I kept talking in my sleep about having to pack to move and he couldn't figure out where we were moving too and why I was only taking 1 dog and SD and not DH.
Dana - that is too funny! I have pretty vivid dreams too. Last night, I dreamed my dad accidentally hurt Crispin and he suddenly stopped moving and went limp. I was petting him and loving him and talking to him, and he sort of started to move again and I woke up real fast and had to make sure I wasn't laying on him or something. Even though he was fine and snuggly, I was still sad!
I have a little brag... I had bloodwork done last week, and my cholesterol is back down to the normal range! Last time I had it done, it was borderline high, so I'm really proud. I'm chalking it up to my weightloss
BL- I sent you a FB message :-)
This has actually been an okay morning so far. There is only three of us here and none of the salespeople have come in so it's nice and quiet!

Well I have one now--Ben needs a crown to the tune of $800. And Mel needs a new tire to the tune of $140. And we're about to get I-phones to the tune of I don't know what.
*sigh*

I'm glad it is B&M today, b/c I definitely have something. We do promotions differently here, and I really like it. You have one job and there are different levels. As you get promoted to a higher level, you are expected take on more responsibility, more broad reaching impact, etc. To get a promotion you submit a packet that says everything you have done the past year, select 5 peers to review your work+ your manager, and then all that gets reviewed by a committee to decide. I think it is a good system and allows people to be promoted without having to move into management.
That being said, my boss is looking to be promoted. I didn't know about it until there was an issue and he needed me to be a peer reviewer for him to go through an appeal. I like the guy, technically he is really strong, he is a good manager of individual contributors, but a crappy manager when it comes to managing managers. He always speaks over me, he will take over my meetings, answer for me, etc. It has become more apparent to me in the last few weeks, but I haven't had a chance to bring it up with him.
Now I feel bad putting all of this in my review when I haven't brought it up with him. I don't want to lie and say everything is peachy when it isn't, but I don't want to write it and have it affect his promo without bringing it up to him and giving him the opportunity to correct it.
I found out I needed to do this on Friday, and it is due today, so it isn't like I can have the conversation and see if it corrects itself. Thanks for letting me rant. I've been upset about this all weekend.
